This morning, Tara Bohan from Exclusiv (a German entertainment TV show) stopped by my place to interview me about the latest developments in the John Travolta story; yesterday, he publicly confirmed for the first time that his son Jett, who died in January at the age of 16, suffered from autism. Scientology does not recognize autism as a disease, and there is speculation that Travolta’s beliefs may have affected his son’s treatment (or lack thereof), possibly contributing to his death. This is just such a heartbreaking story, made even more heartbreaking by the fact that the family is having their faith challenged (and, in my opinion, rightly so) at a time when they need it more than ever. This case will undoubtedly turn out to be a major turning point for the church…it’s a pretty tremendous blow to Scientology to have one of its most high-profile members publicly invalidate its belief system.
Vintage blouse; necklace from Item.
Interviewing actor Brendan Hines on the green carpet at the premiere of The Age of Stupid.
Scary lighting; very nice man.

With an actual, for-real SEX PISTOL: Steve Jones.
(He said, in an adorable British accent, “You have no idea who I am, do you?” I confessed that I didn’t, exactly, but that I knew that he was a Sex Pistol, which is awesome.)
P.S. I know I looked a little peaked; I woke up on a 100-degree Sunday morning at 7AM, OK?
