Somehow, our little family of three found ourselves on the couch in the living room at the godawful hour of 1am. (Post-child, the hours between 1am and 6am are all filed under “godawful.”)

Two of us were barely hanging on, eyes closing, our bodies aching from our second sleepless night in a row.

  6. ladyofleisuredc said: I love this kind of HONESTY! It is so refreshing Alena. I used to be so self conscious when I call my kid an asshole in the same breathe as saying he’s a great kid. Now, I don’t. Only people who have teenagers understand me and I’m okay with that.
