Spring Preview: Anthropologie
I’ve never been big on Anthropologie (save for their drawer pulls; ooh), because I find it a) a bit fussy for my taste, and b) way overpriced for what it is…but the looks have been all over Tumblr these past few weeks, so finally I headed over to the site to look around. And yep: still expensive, but also great stuff for inspiration (and maybe one or two key pieces). This, for...

Little Luxuries / Mulberry Gifts
I spent part of Saturday at the Mulberry store on Madison hanging out with a couple of friends who work there, and discovered this gorgeous rose necklace, which would make a beautiful, if pricey (it’s $185), Valentine’s Day gift. Here’s the thing about luxury brands like Mulberry: I think we can probably all agree that it doesn’t make a ton of sense to buy a bag just...

Two Things I Think You Should Do
One of them, alas, is restricted to those of you who live in (or are planning to visit) NYC. 1. Read Michael Faber’s The Crimson Petal and The White. Doesn’t that title make it sound like just about the most boring book you’ve ever heard of? Well, it’s about prostitutes in Victorian England, so there goes that theory. Can you tell I’ve read it a few times?...

Last Night...
…I dreamed that I ate an enormous Belgian waffle topped with a big swirl of chocolate-flavored whipped cream. And then there was this whole apocalyptic episode where the world exploded and I had to slide down an elevator shaft to escape. But I didn’t escape in the end - I woke up just as the fire reached me. I liked the part about the waffle better. Image via. Original Article

Tall Girl Tales: Jaclyn Anthony Designs: Get it... →
gorgeous ring…and only $32! tallgirltales: An aptly named ring from Jaclyn Anthony Designs—I had been wanting this ring for quite some time and was very excited to receive the package at the end of last week! I wore it for the first time to my sister’s going away party on Saturday night and it was definitely the perfect accessory. …

Pear & Cream Cheese Turnovers
The best thing about making Pear & Cream Cheese Turnovers on a cold Sunday morning is that your apartment gets all toasty-warm and filled with a delicious, sugary smell for hours afterwards. Serve these alongside some coffee and the Times and…well, it just doesn’t get much better. (Can you see the steam rising from the turnover pictured above? Yummmm….) PEAR & CREAM...

OWN Network / Oprah's All-Stars
I love Dr. Phil. Or, perhaps more accurately, I love watching Dr. Phil. I mean, I don’t necessarily agree with him 100% of the time, and I’m not entirely certain I’d want to have him over for dinner (I think he’d stress me out)…but the man usually does offer some fantastic advice. Take for example, this Q&A from a recent episode of the OWN Network’s Ask...

King's County Distillery
On Friday night, we hung out at Stephen and Dave’s place taste-testing moonshine and bourbon made by Kings County Distillery, which happens to be owned and operated by two of Kendrick’s college buddies, Colin Spoelman and David Haskell (who’s also Stephen’s brother). Kings County Distillery is actually the first legal distillery to operate within the borders of New York...
