A shot of Kendrick and me shortly before we touched down in Bangkok to begin our honeymoon…about 2 days after we started our journey (no sleeping had happened at this point; hence…well…that). We booked totally insane tickets to save money that included 10-billion-hour layovers in three separate airports. Might this all have been avoided had we known about Jauntsetter back then? Perhaps.
I think that this Raw Circle White Sapphire Solitaire Ring from singleb: Beautiful is stunning. I like the idea of stacking rings, and especially ones in different metals: My wedding ring is a very thin white gold-and-diamond band that we commissioned from Ben Moses, a jeweler on 47th Street, and someday I’d like to add another slim ring like the one pictured above…maybe in rose gold.
Thanks to reader Shea for sending me the link to this Etsy store!
From Brokelyn.com, Engagement Rings For Under 1K. While big solitaires are wonderful, I think it’s even more romantic (and much more in keeping with the true meaning of what you’re doing) to abandon the idea that an engagement ring has to break the bank — that three-months-salary thing is ridiculous. It’s far more important to find something that’s uniquely you (whether that’s a Tiffany rock or a thrift-store find…or even, as reader Jennette said, an “engagement necklace”); something that symbolizes what you’re building together.
(I love the ring pictured above, from The Clay Pot, in Park Slope.)
